Description:Facing South
The small isolated two-man tent in the right upper half of the picture was my home for a year. Its location was moved around several times and this is where it ended up. I shared it with the non-com that worked in G3 Air. I think most of the other tents were barrack-like with around ten cots in them. It worked out well for me since my working hours were extremely long, especially during the summer. We had a little pot-bellied kerosene stove. At night it had to be turned off and lighting it on a cold morning, below zero, was at times painful. It took ten minutes before for it even thought about giving out heat. The motor pool is on the left of the screen. In the foreground is AF KN truck (Armed Forces Korea Network). The two trucks in the lower right corner were the communications trucks (telephone).
Over the hill to the right is another land indent similar to this one. I call it "Office"
