| Description: | Facing South To the left, just over the hill is "Home". Beyond the first three tents on the right side is a truck, and then there are two tents joined, the first is the G2/G3 Air operation. I Corps Artillery FDC (Fire Direction Center) is the second. Down the hill in about the center of the screen is the mess hall area. Just behind is the stage area where the USO show performed. Just aside the distant truck on the road is the A-41 (Moreland-Lowe) Airstrip and beyond that facilities for the people associated with the strip. Pictures I took throughout the year show different configurations since the camp changed over that period. |

I was stationed at A-41 airstrip From Oct 1952 until after the truce when I Corps Arty moved the whole setup to Camp St Barbara. Was with the 159th FA Bn air section and lost my first pilot-observer crew when they were shot down Oct 27th, 1952 only two days after I arrived and for which the strip was named Moreland-Lowe Airstrip.
