Seoul was a shambles when I was there. This was the main thorough fare.
Seoul [ sôl ] capital city of South Korea, on the Han River, in the northwest of the country. Capital of Korea from 1392, it became capital city of the newly formed republic, South Korea, when Korea was partitioned in 1948.

In the 15 years between 1970 and 1985 the population grew by over 4,000,000 and Seoul modernized dramatically, becoming one of the world’s major cities. |
