Aeronca Defender 1950
I
bought a 1942 Defender (not the military version) for $200
plus $50 for an annual. It was red and yellow, the same color scheme as
the Aeronca Chief I bought in '57. I kept it at a remote farm
strip and flew it for over 100 hrs before being officially authorized to
solo.
Got into a bit of trouble for that adventure.

1957 Aeronca Chief
The least enjoyable of the planes I've owned. |
1967-1970 Cessna
205
A great plane. It could carry anything I could get in the door...including
four big passengers and two little ones. |

1972-1990
'39 Piper Cub (Son
Judd flying '77)
Most enjoyable of the planes I've owned. It had an 85 hp Continental with a climb prop. I felt invincible. I kept it on the familiar farm strip where I learned to fly.

From
Bonanza to Baron August 1970-1985
Loved them both...fast with good range and passenger capacity. |

The
DC-3 was a gift from our son in 2000. He had it under cover for
several months while he worked on the custom exterior paint design. I
always
wanted one, so the gift was really appreciated. It fly's like a dream. Kinda
like the Cub. |
